We’re not asking for the Moon… Just Space!

The pandemic has forced us to completely reinvent the way HWF operates, so that we can continue to help the growing number of vulnerable people in our community, but in a way that is absolutely safe for our clients, our donors and our volunteers.

This has meant moving all our operations outside – rain or shine –,  replacing deliveries with a tight schedule of pick-ups, and doing our best to accommodate clients with little resources.  We have pulled it through so far, thanks to our dedicated 100%-volunteer staff and your unrelenting support. But it will be impossible for us to continue to operate like this through the cold Ottawa winter.

We desperately need more space and a roof over our heads to continue to collect and supply furniture to those in need. This is why we are launching the #Space4HWF campaign.

How you can help

• Contact us at info@hwfottawa.org if you know of an unoccupied, 6 to 8,000 square feet warehouse in the East End of Ottawa or close to downtown.

• Give generously! Every single dollar will help us cover the additional expenses of a bigger space.

• Re-post and re-tweet our calls for help on Facebook and Twitter to help us spread the word in our community!
