A chance to have a home again

Diane* had been sleeping on a couch for almost ten years. An old, broken-down couch with flat cushions and no proper support. She begged her doctor and social worker to help her get assistance, and that's how she found her way onto HWF’s wait list. Diane had known what it was like to sleep in a twin bed, but had never, ever had a queen-size bed, up until Saturday. Thanks to HWF, she can finally enjoy a good night’s sleep and start her days fully rested. In her own words:

“Thank you for the bed. I have been sleeping on an old couch for years and it is falling apart.

I slept great. It’s your organization who gives people with no money a chance to have a home again.

Thank you”
