Jacob has his wings back

Jacob* lived on the street for many years. With his social worker, he has been working hard to start over. But he always longed for the days he had a bike and took it everywhere, “It gave him wings,” his social worker said.

When housing became available for Jacob last week, we picked amazing furniture from your donations - a gorgeous black leather couch and a big leather living room chair to match, along with everything else, including linens for his brand new king-sized bed. And as part of the package, he received a beautiful Miele bike to ride on. Jacob was overjoyed and immediately went for a two-hour bike ride through the neighborhood. Thanks to your donations, HWF gave him his wings back.
